At Bidvest Insurance, we’re passionate about showing up for the communities we care about, and our recent three-day volunteering adventure at LIV Village was a perfect opportunity to do just that. Our long-standing partnership with LIV—a vibrant community that’s home to 167 children and 34 incredible foster moms—has always inspired us. This March, from the 18th to the 20th, every member of our team rolled up their sleeves for a day of hands-on action, contributing to a place that’s raising the next generation of leaders with love, hope, and opportunity.
LIV Village: A Powerhouse of Hope
For those who haven’t met LIV Village yet, imagine a bustling family where vulnerable, parentless children find not just a home, but a future. With an Early Childhood Development center, primary and high schools, a therapy hub, a training center, and even a health clinic serving the broader community, LIV is a beacon of resilience. Feeding 200 people every day takes serious effort, and while donations keep them going, their dream is to grow their own food and become self-sustainable. That’s where Bidvest Insurance stepped in—ready to lend a hand and a whole lot of enthusiasm!
Three Days of Impact
Over three days, we dove into projects that would help LIV’s farm dreams take root. From boosting their existing crops to ensure more fresh produce for the village, to mastering the art of composting—turning scraps into plant-nourishing gold—we got stuck in. We even cleared and prepped a brand-new growing space, setting the stage for future harvests that will power LIV’s journey toward sustainability. It was sweaty, collaborative work, filled with fresh air and laughter. Tapping into our company value of Be Wow, we watched in awe as our efforts came together to support LIV’s kids and moms, creating an impact that truly matters.
