Bidvest Business Breakfast: A Better Tomorrow

On Thursday, 19th January, local KZN Bidvest companies; Bidvest Insurance, Bidvest Protea Coin, Bidvest Voltex, Bidvest Bank, Bidvest Waltons, Bidvest Panalpina Logistics and Bidvest TMS joined together to host the Bidvest Better Breakfast Forum where clients and suppliers of all local Bidvest companies were invited to attend the event held at the well-known Durban venue, Greyville Race Course in the Silver Ring room.

It was a perfect day for the event which was the first of its kind to be held in KZN. The reason for the Breakfast Forum was to create an opportunity to thank the loyal clients and suppliers, of the various Bidvest companies, for their ongoing support while also providing a great networking platform where those in attendance could strengthen current business relationships and even begin building new ones – which was appropriate given the theme of the event was around building a better tomorrow.

The MC for the proceedings was local comedy hero, Carvin H Goldstone. Carvin was a great fit for the event and had the room roaring with laughter every time he took to the mic.

Mpumi Madisa (Executive Director of Bidvest Group Limited) was in attendance and enlightened the audience with her presentation highlighting the dynamic range of companies that make up the Bidvest Group, the interesting developments and acquisitions along the way and, lastly, where Bidvest is aiming to go in future.

The final act of the morning was a compelling rugby discussion panel hosted by John Allan (former Springbok and Scottish international) who chatted to  Ian Macintosh (former Sharks and Springbok coach) and Jacques Botes (former Sharks and Puma player). The panel discussed the past, present and future of the Springboks and Sharks rugby, and delved a bit into how the teams and players are preparing for what will be a very important 2017 rugby season for South African rugby.
